Disney Trip Cancelled
We’ve been coming to terms with the fact that, yes, our trip was probably going to be cancelled.
We were due to fly out on 10th May and Disney contacted us to let us know it was cancelled on 4th May.
I have been planning this trip for a year now and spent time nearly every day researching, planning and booking the trip so it has been upsetting to see my plans in ruins.
I will now use my free time over the next two weeks to write up my planned itinerary in case it helps anyone else who is still planning their dream holiday to Walt Disney World, Florida.
Take off…
Yesterday was supposed to be travel day. Our British Airways flight from London Gatwick was scheduled at 10:40 landing in Orlando at 15:00.
The intention was to take shifts in parenting duties, so we could each watch a film or two during the flight. We had reusable sticker books, colouring in sheets, box of mini Disney dolls to keep our little one occupied through the flight and would of course loaded up her Kindle Fire with all her favourite TV shows.
We had planned on visiting Outback Steak House which used to be a favourite of ours (and was in fact our first date destination) before they closed down across the UK.
From there we would have gone to check in at Coronado Springs and just spend the evening orientating ourselves with the resort, picking up our resort mug and looking over our plans for the days ahead.
