Walt Disney World Fast Pass+ tips

Handy tips and tricks you should know regarding your Walt Disney World Fast Passes.

On site guests

  • You can book your fast passes 60 days before your arrival date.
  • You can book for your entire trip.
  • To get the high demand rides, start from the last day of your stay and work backwards.

Off site guests

  • You can book your fast passes 30 days in advance of your park visit.
  • If you have multi day tickets you book one day at a time.

All guests

You get three fast passes (per person) to book in advance or on the day of your park visit.

It is possible to pick up extra fast passes on the day but only once you have used the first three fast passes.

If a ride for which you have a fast pass booked for is unavailable at the time of your fast pass booking, you will be awarded a fast pass which can be used on any fast pass ride.

You can book fast passes on the My Disney Experience app, on the Disney website or at one of the Fast Pass Kiosks located in the Disney parks. Kenny the Pirate has posted a step by step guide on booking Fast Passes which I recommend you follow for booking Fast Passes.

Magic Kingdom is the only park that doesn’t operate a tier system which means you can book any 3 fast pass rides available on a given day.

Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom operate on a tier basis meaning that you can only book 1 ride from the top tier per day, the other two Fast Passes must be from the bottom tier. Dad’s Guide to WDW have published a good breakdown on the ride tier system.

You may only book Fast Passes at one park per day.
