Marsh Farm, South Woodham Ferrers (Essex)

This is one of our favourite farm parks and we are lucky that it isn’t too far away so have had lots of good days here.

They have quite a few different play areas dotted around the site but the best one to head for is the big playground right over the back. Be warned though, there are lots of exit points from this playground, so if your child is prone to making quick getaways you will need to be on your toes.

For older children (and during the drier months) they have a play area with bouncy pillows and a large bouncy castle slide with picnic benches and a sand pit. If it’s a wet day or your visiting following wet weather then a change of trousers/socks is recommended if using this area.

There’s an indoor soft play, cafe and a show stage which can be hit or miss but I always recommend checking it out if you can as our little one always enjoys it and it is at least a chance to sit down indoors for a bit.

There are quite a few opportunities to get involved with feeding and handling animals plus a nice little walk through aviary.
