Barrel ride at Knockhatch.
Attractions,  COVID19,  Top 10 Attractions to visit with a toddler / preschooler

Knockhatch Adventure Park, Hailsham (East Sussex)

Hands down my favourite attraction in East Sussex.

We spent a full day here and that still wasn’t time to do everything.

We took our daughter and her friend when they were 4 and they really had the best time seeing all the animals, picking and choosing the rides, watching the bird display, visiting the splash zone, exploring the castle and going on the barrel ride.

We went during the COVID19 restrictions so had to book online in advance and also had to reserve a time slot for the splash zone. If it’s a hot day then I recommend you head there first to put your name down on the waiting list as it does get very busy but it’s definitely worth a visit (take swimwear for your little ones).

At the end of the day there were still attractions we hadn’t managed to fit in. We only found the castle right towards the end of the day. It is humongous and in still not sure how we didn’t notice it earlier in the day.

We took a picnic so I can’t comment on the food options but there was definitely one cafe we saw serving food and there were a few ice cream/drink/snack kiosks around.

Cost: £9.99 per person (aged 2+) but prices vary across high/low season.
