Walt Disney World Itinerary 2025

Day Two: Animal Kingdom

An early start to the day today (not early enough to make the extra early entry for resort guests though) and we headed straight to Pandora as the rides there were showing reasonable queue times. The scenery in Pandora is absolutely amazing, such a feast for the eyes, I was definitely feeling the magic as we walked through and experienced all the sights, sounds and smells.

First ride was Na’vi River Journey. Amazing ride and we appreciated starting the day on something suitable for the whole group. The littlest member of the gang was a bit weary of the darkness but once he got used to it he was loving all the lights and the scenes unfolding around us. After being outside in the heat for the past hour or was a welcome relief to be inside in the dark and the cool and it totally relaxed us all to the point where we felt like we were surely heading towards a spa for some pampering (spoiler alert: there’s no spa).

We checked the app and saw that Flight of Passage was over an hour long so decided we’d come back to that then we made our way over to Exhibition Everest where the older kids and the brave adults (not me) took a trip to find Big Foot while myself and the actual baby went for a wander.

After Everest we all rode Kilimanjaro Safari where we were really lucky to make it virtually the whole way round before a tropical downpour hit leaving people trudging through ankle-deep puddles to find shelter. After the deluge let up we got on the first Wildlife Express Train up to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the Conservation Station. After petting and brushing the animals we boarded the Wildlife Express train back to Harambe Market just in time for lunch.

We dined at Flame Tree Barbecue (Quick Service Counter) before Mr FFT and Master FFT went to watch the Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond while the rest of us rode the Kali River Rapids.

A quick look at the My Disney Experience app showed a short wait for Everest so we headed back there to all meet up and swap childcare duties. Myself and Master FFT went to DinoLand USA to the Boneyard Playground and the Dig Site while everyone else rode Everest (for the second time) and then DINOSAUR.

Thus concludes our time in Animal Kingdom, it was nearly closing time and we were all worn out and ready to head back to the bus stop to head back to Pop Century, where the kids had plans go to the swimming pool and order in Chick-Fil-A for dinner.
